2004 Pokémon Channel Card Set (Nice Cards)

In 2003 the Pokémon Channel game first released in Japan on the Nintendo GameCube. The game included adventuring, looking after your own pikachu & loads of interesting interactive exploring, a big part of the game was channel surfing the shows on the telly created by Prof. Oak, there are several shows to flick through. On top of that there is lots of things to take a look at in and around the house and even catching the bus to other locations to progress through the game and collect everything. Alongside that within the game there were collectibles called Nice Cards, these were gifted by exploring and communicating with other Pokemon in game.

The collectible cards in game were made into real cards in Japan and sold in small booster packs in 2004. Printed by Amada as it said on the booster pack the set consists of 101 Regular cards (Green Border), 36 Motion cards (Orange Border) and 9 Platinum cards (Silver Border) and 1 MSP that was a lenticular Pikachu

Pictured below are a few photos of the box and booster that these cards were distributed from.

Each pack contained 4 regular cards and 1 motion/platinum card and there were twenty packs per box. The actual pull rate is unknown to us as it was a long time since we opened any boxes. We assume there was at least one Platinum card per box but cannot be certain.

The set featured over 100 characters up to Gen 3, all as they were seen on the in game Nice Card collectibles.
